In the nearly three decades since Science for the People was last published, recognition of “human-induced climate change” has emerged as scientific consensus. And yet, climate change deniers are in power and international climate accords fall far short of the solution we need. The absence of radical science can be felt in the consensus itself: it is a bit misleading, after all, to blame humanity for global warming when it is the small minority of energy and and financial executives most responsible for keeping us tethered to fossil fuels.
With this collection on the politics, science and interests behind the various proposals to manipulate the climate, Science for the People jumps right back into the fray, debating strategy and policy for the future of our planet.
Please visit scienceforthepeople.org on July 28 for a link to livestream the documentary and link to the geoengineering collection’s first articles!
